ad⋅dic⋅tion–noun
the state of being enslaved to a habit or practice or to something that is psychologically or physically habit-forming, as narcotics, to such an extent that its cessation causes severe trauma.

I do not punctuate on purpose.

And remember that the poet is not the poem.

I noticed your comment about purposely leaving the punctuation out, I really think that helps slam home the point about addiction. It leaves us needing our next fix without regards to rhyme, reason or rationality.

Using the lowercase 'I' also helps push this point as 'I' am no longer important, only the fix or acceptance the addiction brings.

The broken structure stopping the natural flow of words also highlights the topic of addiction where everything stops when in need of your next fix.

I also like how it's left hanging as if waiting for the relief of the fix. To me it feels unfinished, or part of a larger whole, though it doesn't lose anything by being that part. Adds to its charm.
